The sorting strakes
Nowadays, the evolution of household waste is a major problem of our society. Presently environmental issues do no longer admit to stay in abeyance and that’s fine so, because our destiny and that of the future generations depend on it.
In order to recycle the waste for use, to reduce the cost of the household refuse processing and to involve each of us in the environmental protection, the SICTOM set up several plans of actions and mainly the sorting.
How to value your waste?
By a stringent practice of the sorting in our homes ; which means giving a second life to packaging by saving natural resources, energy and by limiting the greenhouse effect. Thus, the recyclable products are removed from the flow of household refuse which makes the tonnages decrease. Today an inhabitant produces 360 kg of household waste a year, on average.
