The waste for a good compost
The kitchen waste: peels, coffee dregs, tea bags, bread, meals left-overs, fruits and damaged vegetables, cheeses rinds, shells of eggs…….
The house waste: paper hankies and kitchen roll, sawdust and shavings, papers and non illustrated newspapers, house plants, wood ashes…….
The garden rubbish: lawn, faded flowers, weeds, leaves, crushed boughs, straw, barks.
The waste to be avoided !!!
all the not organic waste: plastics, glasses, metals, fabrics, sewage oils. Some of this waste can be recycled; dump them in your yellow bin or in a waste reception center.
meat and fish left-overs, because they attract animals and can generate unpleasant smells,
dairy products,
frying oils,
shells,
animals litters,
wood ashes in big quantities,
citrus fruits which are too acid for the good progress of the fermentation.
